Jorge Andrés Leiva Rivas
Jorge is a practicing attorney and notary with over 10 years of experience in commercial and civil law. Originally from Liberia, Jorge graduated with specialization in Notarial and Public Registry law, Summa Cum Laude, from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho in San Jose. While completing his legal studies, he worked as a legal assistant for the well-respected international law firm of Picado and León.
After becoming licensed as a Public Notary, Jorge stayed on at Picado and León in order to gain additional experience in real estate and business law. In 2017, he served as legal advisor to Ronald Calvo Canales in the Costa Rican Legislative Assembly.
Having gained valuable experience in a variety of areas of law, in 2018 Jorge started his own legal practice, which grew into North Pacific Legal. He routinely assists both Costa Rican and international clients with matters such as property transactions, contracts, business entity formation, land use and agrarian land issues, easements, water and public utilities issues, municipal and administrative processes, notarial estate successions, and civil litigation.
Gerardo Andrés Camacho Quirós
Also originally from Liberia and a fellow graduate of the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, Gerardo has been a practicing attorney and public notary since 2013.
While completing his studies, Gerardo worked as a legal assistant at the prestigious law firm of Central Law, where he gained valuable experience in intellectual property, commercial, and notarial law.
After becoming licensed as an attorney and public notary, Gerardo returned to Liberia to practice law. Gerardo’s practice centers around real estate and commercial law, as well as administrative and municipal law. He also has extensive experience in intellectual property and banking law. Since 2018, Gerardo has served as the legal counsel to the Sports and Recreation Committee for the Canton of Liberia.
